Officer Justin Cheney was awarded the Best of the Badge for December 2021. He also received this award for September for his hard work and dedication, and not much has changed!
Officer Cheney makes a DUI or narcotics-related arrest nearly every shift he works and is always looking to make Mesquite safer for everyone. Ever since he joined Mesquite PD he has consistently led by example through his service and positive attitude. In addition to all his work on patrol, he also became certified as a department defensive tactics instructor in December. With this added responsibility, he will help keep all of our officers well-trained and prepared to protect themselves and others.
