Jan. 9 was National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. A couple of Mesquite’s own officers were able to join many others in a gathering at Police Memorial Park in Las Vegas. It has been reported they had a good time meeting young police supporters who were, “very enthusiastic.”

MPD appreciates Las Vegas having them but more so, they appreciate the community that shows them an abundance of support every day.

In accordance with the day’s celebrations, they stated in a social media post, “We are always appreciative of the fine officers at Mesquite PD and all other agencies around the country, especially on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. If you see an officer today, make sure to thank them for their service to our fine community!!”
