We Care for Animals featured pet is Willie: Willie came to us from a large shelter where he was very scared. Once out of the shelter, Willie has shown what a sweet and loving guy he is. Although a bit shy initially, Willie enjoys being close to his person and loves sleeping under the covers in bed. Willie is house trained with a dog door, loves good food, walks and being with other dog(s) his size. His ideal home would be one that has another small compatible dog, a dog door and fenced yard. He would prefer someone who works from home or is home the majority of the time and take him for walks. Willie is a Chihuahua mix, 3 years and weighs 14 lbs. He will be neutered on February 1, 2022, brought up to date on vaccines and will be microchipped. To express interest, please complete our online adoption application at wecareforanimals.org. Wanda is still looking for her forever home. This sweet kitten is friendly and likes to play with toys and hang out on the cat tree. Wanda is about 6 months old, has been altered, micro chipped and is current on vaccines. It would be nice if she had another cat in the home to pal around with.
We rescued Jimmy from a shelter where he was going to be euthanized for extreme fear. We don’t know Jimmy’s history before landing in the shelter, but he obviously wasn’t given the love and socialization that every pet needs. Jimmy has been in foster care for several weeks in a calm and loving environment, and he has made a lot of progress. Jimmy is really sweet but very shy towards people. He has never shown aggression to anyone. He wants very much to trust but he finds it difficult at times to commit all the way. Jimmy does show some preference for women. He will come up to his foster mom most of the time when there is food involved. Jimmy would benefit greatly in a calm and loving home (no small children) with someone home most of the time and who is committed to gain Jimmy’s trust and take his confidence to the next level. Jimmy may not be a lap dog, but he really enjoys belly rubs. Jimmy loves playing with other dogs similar in size. Having another small playful dog as a companion for Jimmy would be a plus. Jimmy enjoys hanging out in the yard and lying in the sun. He would enjoy and needs a home with a safe and secure backyard. He can be a runner. He does well on leash and on walks. He is housetrained with a dog door. Jimmy is a Chihuahua mix with long legs. He is approximately 3 years of age and weighs 13.4 lbs. He is neutered, current on his vaccines and microchipped. To express interest, please complete our online adoption application at wecareforanimals.org. Jimmy’s adoption fee is $100 adoption fee is $100.
Finley came to us from the LV shelter; he is 3 years old, will be neutered on Fri, Jan 21, micro-chipped and current on vaccinations. He loves to go for walks and is good riding in the car. He can be a bit timid meeting people but warms up quickly. He has a long body and short legs and weighs 22 lbs. He is house trained and learning the dog door! His coat does shed but minimally. His breed is anybody’s guess but going with terrier, border & parsons. His head & face look border terrier. He would do well in a home with another dog to play with and a secure yard. If interested, please fill out an application at wecareforanimals.org. Finley’s adoption fee is $125.
