As TANF Program Specialists for the Nevada Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS), we would like to notify you of an opportunity to serve needy families throughout the State of Nevada.
The DWSS recently posted a Request for Application (RFA) to our home page, as well as our TANF page, to announce an opportunity for all qualified non-profit agencies to offer one disbursement of diaper bundles to TANF families with young children throughout the State of Nevada.
The State of Nevada is utilizing a portion of the grant funds received from the Federal Pandemic Emergency Assistance Fund (PEAF) to provide one-time assistance to qualifying TANF recipients. Our agency is currently seeking applications from all eligible, non-profit community organizations to help provide a one-time diaper/wipes bundle to child TANF recipients aged 5 or younger and/or pregnant mothers in at least their 6th month of pregnancy who are receiving TANF at the time the diaper/wipes bundle is provided. The award application deadline is February 28, 2022 at 5:00 pm, with the requirement to attend a mandatory webinar on Monday, February 7, 2022.

To be considered to receive a portion of any available PEAF grant funds through this RFA, the agency must qualify as a non-profit and any services/benefits administered using these funds must only be provided to the specific TANF recipient population mentioned in this document. This benefit has been determined to meet at least one of the four purposes of TANF and is provided as a non-recurrent, short-term benefit.
All services under this RFA must be provided, funds expended and requests for reimbursement submitted with all backup documentation no later than Monday, June 13, 2022.
As a reminder, all interested non-profit agencies will be required to attend the mandatory webinar on Monday, February 7, 2022, 9:00 am PST – 10:00 am PST.
