On Sunday, April 3, at approximately 4:30 p.m. a Harley Davidson Motorcycle carrying the rider and a passenger collided head on with a Honda. The Honda had a single driver.
According to reports, the motorcycle was traveling south on Old Highway 91 when the Honda, traveling north crossed the median, struck the motorcycle and threw both riders from the bike.
According to Utah Highway Patrol, both motorcycle riders were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda was life flighted to St. George Regional Hospital in critical condition.
Several agencies responded to the call including Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Santa Clara/Ivins PD and Fire, Utah Highway Patrol, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and Intermountain Life Flight.
Preliminary findings report that impairment may have played a factor in the crash. The case was turned over to Utah Highway Patrol for further investigation.
