“Mesquite Animal Control Officers do so much more behind the scenes than just enforcing municipal laws regarding animals. One of their many tasks is continual health care of the animals in the shelter.
Each animal is seen by a veterinarian to assess their health needs. Then the ACO personnel ensure any medication is administered daily, like in these pictures, and any other special care concerns are addressed. Thankfully our Animal Control Officers are very well-trained and truly care about the animals in the shelter.
