IVINS —Multiple Law Enforcement Agencies responded to a scene at Fire Lake Park (Ivins Reservoir) when a body was discovered.
The body was found on county land and the investigation has been turned over to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
According to news reports, this was the second body found. Both bodies were discovered on Wednesday, April 13.
The first body was discovered when a male walked into the St. George Police Department to report a “possibly dead” female at approximately 8:30 a.m.
Police responded to a residence for a welfare check and located a deceased female.
The male has been taken into custody in relation to the investigation.
The manner of death and the identification of persons involved are not being released at this time pending further investigation.
The vehicle the male drove to the police station is being processed in relation to the incident and a portion of the parking lot is closed. The lobby remains open.
