It seemed like every child in Mesquite turned up on a warm spring morning for the chance to find a golden egg among the many spread across the lawn at Marilyn Redd Park. Kids were separated in age groups to give all a fair chance during the annual Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Las Vegas Summerlin Lions Club Saturday morning, April 16.

In the first many years, the Mesquite Virgin Valley Lions Club hosted the annual event. Since the club disbanded in 2015, Bill and Judi DePew made sure the tradition continued in the community through the Las Vegas Summerlin Lions Club.
