CARSON CITY, NV – The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection – Bureau of Air Pollution Control (BAPC) has entered the public notice period for the renewal of Class II General Air Quality Operating Permit for Concrete Batch Plants and for the renewal of Class II General Air Quality Operating Permit for Nonmetallic Minerals Crushing and Screening Plants.

The public comment period is from August 1, 2022, through August 31, 2022.

The Class II General Air Quality Operating Permit for Concrete Batch Plants and to the Class II General Air Quality Operating Permit for Nonmetallic Minerals Crushing and Screening for operating scenarios listed in the table provided in the draft air quality operating permits covers the following counties:  Carson City, Churchill, Douglas, Elko, Esmeralda, Eureka, Humboldt, Lander, Lincoln, Lyon, Mineral, Nye, Pershing, Storey, and White Pine.

The proposed permits will not cause or contribute to a violation of any federal or State of Nevada air quality standards.
